This recipe is my favorite. Â I mean it, I am so excited to share this recipe. Â Guacamole is something that should be easy to make. Â And this recipe is delicious as well. Â I made this recipe by testing time and time again, until I came up with the perfect combination. Â I stock all the ingredients, except the avocado, in my pantry so I can whip it up at any time!
In Mexico, all you need to make guacamole is salt and avocados. Â In my kitchen, you need a bit more, but not a lot. Â I use lime juice to add brightness and acidity, but also to keep the avocado from oxidizing too quickly. Â Garlic adds depth of flavor. Â Also, garlic keeps away vampires, so we should all love it. Â Finally, cayenne adds the spice that I love!

When I was first testing guac recipes, I tried all kinds of fancy ones with chopped tomatoes and onions. They were too complicated for me. Â I don’t mind chunky guac, but I want chunks of avocado, and tomatoes and onions just added too much texture. Â Adjust seasonings to your taste, and this recipe will become your go-to for an easy guacamole! Enjoy!

Easy Guacamole
This easy guacamole is so simple you’ll make it again and again. All you need is pantry ingredients!
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 1 cup or 4 toppings
- Category: Appetizer
Ingredients
- 1 avocado, peeled and seed discarded
- 1/2 TBS lime juice
- 1 large garlic clove, (or 2 small)
- 1/8-1/4 tsp salt (depending on preference, I like less)
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Cut or coarsely mash avocado into medium pieces. Pour lime juice over top and let sit while you mince the garlic (allowing absorption time in larger chunks reduces later oxidation).
- Mince garlic clove.
- Mash avocaod to desired texture using a fork or small masher.
- Mix garlic clove, salt and cayenne into avocado. Taste test and adjust seasoning.
