In reply to Kari. Yes, these will freeze well! You cook the liquid out of the mushrooms first, so their texture will not change much when frozen. If cooking from frozen, they will take about an hour, I would wait and add the cheese in the last 15 minutes.

Can you freeze these potatoes after prepared, excluding the last step?
A lot of twice baked potatoes you can freeze and then the recipe tells you how long to bake when you pull it out of the freezer. Would this work with yours, with the mushrooms?

I used to always order the mushroom swiss burgers at a restaurant I ate at – it was always a go to for me! I love the idea of this in a twice baked potato. It’s a meal in itself! Or a perfect side!
