Serves: 2-3 servings
Ingredients
White Pizza Sauce
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 TBS all purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk of choice (I used soy milk)
  • 2-3 twists of a sea salt grinder and cracked black pepper grinder
  • 1 tsp dry basil (1 TBS fresh)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
Pizza
  • 1-lb whole wheat pizza dough
  • 1 cup asparagus, trimmed and cut to 1 inch pieces
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts (frozen, thawed)
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded provolone cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded or shaved Parmesan
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven with a pizza stone to 425 F.
White Pizza Sauce
  1. In a small sauce pan, cook garlic in olive oil until starting to brown, about 1 minute. Whisk in flour. Cook stirring continuously for 2-3 minutes. Don't let the flour start to brown or your sauce will not be white.
  2. Pour in milk while whisking to prevent clumps. Stir continuously until it starts to boil. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. It will thicken more as it cools.
Pizza
  1. Spread dough out into a 12 inch circle.
  2. Carefully remove pizza stone from oven. Place dough onto stone. Quickly, spread sauce over crust. Top with cheeses and veggies.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes.
