Five Minute Four Ingredient Homemade Gravy

This five minute four ingredient homemade gravy can be adapted for many diets. It is made with broth and can be made vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore!

Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ⅓ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups broth or stock of choice (I use vegetable)
  • 2 TBS reduced sodium soy sauce or tamari
Instructions
  1. In a skillet, mix together olive oil and flour until smooth. Place this over medium heat. Stir constantly and bring to a boil. Simmer stirring constantly for 1 minute. This allows the flour to cook so the gravy won't be paste-y.
  2. Slowly whisk in broth. It may form some lumps at first but keep whisking and it will smooth out.
  3. When smooth, whisk in soy sauce and remove from heat.
